Draw For You

This three hour workshop at The Art Club at Dukes of West Barns on Saturday, 25th April 2026, is a beginners drawing workshop designed for people who don't think they can draw, or for those who are nervous about making a start. It is for anyone who would like to engage with creativity in a gentle, supportive and unintimidating way. During the three hours, we will learn about art materials, explore mark making, tone, shading, texture and form. Using pencil, charcoal and ink on paper, we will work towards creating a finished drawing, which can be taken home. We will carry out a range of different techniques, approaches and exercises. We will draw from life, and learn how to really look at and translate an object. We will explore finding our own creative language and discover what we enjoy.
