Draw For You

This three hour workshop at The Art Club at Dukes of West Barns on Sunday, 29 June, is a beginners drawing workshop designed for people who don't think they can draw, or for those who are nervous about making a start. It is for anyone who would like to engage with creativity in a gentle, supportive and unintimidating way. During the three hours, we will learn about art materials, explore mark making, tone, shading, texture and form. Using charcoal on paper, we will work towards creating a finished drawing, which can be mounted, wrapped and taken home. We will also explore using ink and soft pastels. We will carry out a range of different techniques, approaches and exercises. We will draw from life using various objects, and learn how to really look at and translate an object.
